Coffins & Urns

Coffins, Urns & Grave Markers

Choosing a coffin or urn is a meaningful way to honour your loved one. Our carefully curated selection offers quality, variety, and respect - all presented simply, so that you can find somethingthat truly fits their life and your family's wishes.

If you want something different, just let us know and we'll order it for you.

We are proud to have assembled a range of traditional coffins which are all approved by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), meaning that even our mahogany is from a renewable source in a properly managed forest. Solid mahogany originates in Africa and our oak is sourced from Canada and the US. Our veneered coffins also carry an FSC Kitemark.

Coffins for Cremation
We have listed our selection of wood veneered coffins and caskets with special fittings approved for cremation. All of our burial coffins and caskets are suitable for cremation also. You can also source your own coffin if you would prefer to.
Coffins for Burial
We have listed our selection of wood veneered coffins and caskets and solid wood coffins and caskets suitable for burial along with pricing. You can also source your own coffin if you would prefer to.
Eco Friendly Coffins
These coffins and caskets are all suitable for burial and cremation. On request, we can tell you more about each coffin; where the materials are sourced, where it is made and how it is transported. We are proud to say that of our standard wooden coffins and caskets, the entire veneered range has been awarded a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Kitemark.
Coffins for Children and Babies
The following list are all suitable for both burial and cremation. For natural burial or cremation we would recommend the Willow Baby Coffin or the Somerset Willow Crib shown. Children’s coffins vary in price according to size as well as design. We can help talk you through all of the options and guide you.
Grave Markers
Our wooden temporary grave markers are shown here. These can be left in place until such a time as the ground is ready for a permanent (stone) memorial, should you wish to have one. Every marker has an engraved weatherproof metal name plate included.
Urns
Ashes are often kept in a plain plastic urn unless a specific urn has been ordered in advance. We can provide eco-friendly boxes as an alternative to plastic. Urns are available in all kinds of materials from steel to alabaster, salt and papier-mache. They come in designs to suit every taste. Urns can be used to keep ashes in perpetuity, for burial or simply to transport the ashes to the place they will be scattered.

Mark at Levertons helped me with every detail of creating a wonderful service for the late Rajesh (Kiki). I felt nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was excellent. Communication and compassion was just what I needed during this difficult time. Thank you Mark for understanding and being so kind.

My aunt died quite unexpectedly and although I had been to funerals organised by Levertons before this was the first time I had to arrange one myself. I was nervous about meeting my aunt’s requests but Michael at Levertons made sure everything she wanted was catered for and we all as a family were left feeling completely safe and confident that my aunts requests were being met. On the day of the funeral everyone from Levertons was professional extremely polite and respectful. Grief is personal and organising a funeral can be daunting but Levertons gave us a highly professional service while also showing kindness and compassion at an extremely difficult time. This was something as a family we are all very grateful for

My cousins (who had flown over from New Zealand) and I (just landed from Australia) had the tough job of organising a funeral and cremation service for our late Aunt, who had lived in London for over twenty years. From the very first meeting, Deborah, Alison, Samantha and the whole team at Laverton & Sons have been so kind, understanding and helpful. They took care of tiny details and made what could have been an overwhelming process so much easier for us. We felt completely supported throughout, and we’re so grateful for the compassion and care they showed our family. I have no hesitation in recommending the Muswell Hill team for Laverton & Sons.

A super service which gave my sister a wonderful 'goodbye'. The Levertons team made a challenging emotional event a respectful, but uplifting experience. The webcam of the service was perfect for Sue's friends who could not be present. I recommend the Leverton team.
