Questions you might want to think about…

Levertons Funeral Directors are here to help and guide you.
We hope to make this difficult time as gentle as possible for you and here are some questions you might want to think about.

  • Did the person leave any special requests regarding the funeral in their Will?
  • What kind of funeral will it be - cremation or burial?
  • Where do you want the funeral to take place (eg which crematorium)?
  • Do you want a service or a direct cremation?
  • What kind of service will it be - religious or non-religious?
  • If religious, what denomination will it be?
  • Do you want the funeral service to take place in a place of worship?
  • Do you want to see the person in our chapel of rest before the funeral?
  • Do you want the person to lie at home or a church the night before the funeral?
  • Do you want the person to be dressed in their own clothes?
  • Do you want people to send flowers, and where should they send them?
  • Do you want Levertons to arrange for your flowers?
  • What do you want (eg price, colour, specific arrangement, message)?
  • Would you rather money is donated to a charity? Which charity(ies)?
  • Do you have someone in mind to officiate at the funeral?
  • What is their name and contact details?
  • Would you rather that we found someone on your behalf?
  • Are there any special requests for readings , or music for before, during or at the end of the service?
  • Do you want an organist to play?
  • Will anyone from the family or friends want to speak?
  • Does anyone want to help to carry the coffin?
  • What sort of hearse would you like to use – e.g: Traditional motor hearse, Eco-Hearse, Horse drawn hearse, Motorcyle hearse etc.
  • Will family members travel to the funeral in our limousines, or their own cars?
  • If using our limousines, how many will you need (they each seat six)?
