We'll guide you through the options available, answer any questions that you may have, and take time to understand what matters most to you. From traditional arrangements to more personal or greener choices, everything can be tailored with care.

Below you'll find some of the different types of funeral that we can arrange. These are simply starting points. If you have something else in mind - or aren't sure where to begin - we're always here to help.

Cremation vs Burial
Both options have practical and emotional considerations. Direct cremation is usually the most affordable, while natural burials offer a peaceful alternative. We can guide you gently through the pros and cons of each.
Direct and Simple Cremations
A Direct cremation has no service or ceremony, and no-one attends. A memorial can take place separately, in your own time. A Simple cremation has a shorter service and takes place early in the day (Monday – Friday).
Woodland Burials & Funerals
Natural burial parks on the outskirts of London provide a sustainable, tranquil option. Burial sites are chosen carefully to protect the landscape and support tree growth.
Embalming and Viewing
For some, seeing a loved one again is an important part of saying goodbye. Embalming with great care and dignity can help to ensure that they’re seen at their best.
Traditional Funerals
Some families value classic touches - limousines, formal dress, and ceremonial walking. We’re happy to guide you through these options.
Eco-friendly funerals
We are proud to offer many environmentally-conscious options, from electric hearses to sustainably sourced coffins. Every small choice makes a difference.
Eco-Hearse
We pioneered the UK’s first all-electric Eco-Hearse in 2013. Nine years later in July 2022 we took delivery of our first full-size electric Nissan hearse. These hearses have proven popular with our clients, providing the option of a modern and environmentally friendly funeral in and around London.
Horse-drawn hearse
For a more traditional feel, we offer horse-drawn hearses with black or grey Belgian Black horses. Pairs or teams of four are available to suit your needs.
Humanist & Non-Religious Funerals
Many people choose funerals with no religious references. We work closely with experienced celebrants to shape thoughtful, non-religious ceremonies.
Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh & Buddhist Funerals
We honour all faiths and backgrounds and will always do our best to meet specific cultural or spiritual needs with understanding and respect.
Themed, bespoke & custom Funerals
From music and colours to hobbies and passions, we can help to create a funeral that feels truly personal - whatever form it takes.
Wakes & Receptions
From informal get-togethers to more traditional receptions, we can suggest local venue and caterers and help you with the planning. Our Camden branch also offers a quiet space for small vigils.
In Memory
If you wish to publish the details of a funeral, or the announcement of a death which has occurred, you can do so through social websites like Facebook, local or national newspapers and/or 'Much Loved' Levertons tribute website. We’re happy to place newspaper announcements for you.
Dispersal of Ashes
We can advise on how and where ashes might be scattered, kept, or shared – depending on your wishes and who you’d like to involve.

I required a cremation. James at the Camden office looked after us & did an excellent job. From which coffin, cars, & at the CrematoriumI was also put in touch with a celebrant Ruby , she visited me at home and took details of everything which needed to be read . James Ruby & myself liaised via email which was very helpful

My experience with Leverton & Sons was first class. Both Deborah and Samantha were very engaging, efficient and proactive throughout the process from start to finish. All my questions and requests were answered/actioned promptly. I was very impressed with the celebrant suggested by Deborah. The day of the funeral went very smoothly without a hitch. We had such excellent care from Craig Parker at Leverton's. Craig was professional, sensitive and warm, and gave us plenty of time to plan the day. He helped us with many details including recommendations for music and flowers, and gave a good list celebrants for us to choose from. We felt very well supported and confident that everything would go smoothly, which it did. We gave Mum a fitting send off. We would wholeheartedly recommend this company.
