Choosing the right place for your farewell

Choosing where your loved one will rest - or where the ceremony will be held - can be deeply personal. We're here to guide you, offering clear descriptions, practical advice and heartfelt insight.

Choosing what's right for you

  • Cremation vs Burial - each venue offers different options for memorials, from rose bushes and wall tablets to a Book of Remembrance and memorial trees.
  • Service length - Chapens can typically be booked for 30-45 minutes, but some venues only offer 20 minutes.
  • Accessibility - the venues offer features such as hearing loops, disabled access, and parking.
  • Ceremony type - most offer multi-faith flexibility and webcasting for distant loved ones.

How we will help you

  • We'll explain the benefits of each venue - location, capacity, and atmosphere.
  • We'll book the service at the Crematorium or Cemetery.
  • Bookings are handled with thoughtfulness, ensuring that the ceremony timing matches your wishes.
  • We'll walk you through practical matters like service times, fees, officiants, music, slideshows and livestreaming.
