Help with bereavement
At Levertons we understand that you may be experiencing grief and that the process of bereavement continues or indeed can start after the funeral takes place. Whilst we are unable to provide bereavement support ourselves, as our client we want to provide you with a free service that can help and we are proud to announce that we are partners with SAIF Care.
SAIF Care services are offered by friendly staff who are trained in counselling and bereavement skills and who will be able to listen and support you.
The Associate Counsellors from SAIF Care are highly skilled and qualified. They will be able to help you to understand your experience of grief, develop self-care, coping strategies and support you to deal with the challenges you may be facing.
SAIF Care is a bereavement service offered by funeral directors who are members of The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).
As our client, as long as you are over the age of 18, you can access a range of services for free including:

Up to six free sessions of supportive counselling by telephone, skype or face to face in your local area.
SAIF Care services are available to you from Monday – Friday from 9am – 9pm.
24 hour helplines
We can provide contact details of a number of organisations who can help with bereavement. The Samaritans are available 24 hours a day but the hours in which you can contact specialist bereavement helplines do vary.
There are experienced professional people who understand and who want to help you. Just take your time and you will find the support that is right for you.

Free bereavement counselling for our clients
Supports anyone affected by the death of a baby during pregnancy or after birth.
All SAMM’s volunteers have themselves been bereaved as a result of homicide.
Supports young widowed men and women as they adjust to life after the death of their partner – whether that was a month, a year, or ten years ago.
An active web-based self-help group aimed at providing mutual support to widows and widowers, primarily in their 50s and 60s.
Offers advice on how to help children and young people to re-adjust to life after the death of a parent or sibling.
Offers free confidential online and telephone support to any adult worried about
the emotional problems, behaviour or mental health of a child or young person up to the age of 25.
The trust supports bereaved parents through their grief after the loss of a son or daughter of any age.
