Funeral
Costs ...
Crematoria
Cremation is less costly than burial in London. Expect crematorium
fees of between £500 and £600. This includes a ceremony
of about 30 minutes, the cremation and an urn made of plastic or
recycled cardboard. If you have a longer ceremony in mind, you can
book double time at the crematorium (at less than double
the price) or use another venue before or after the commital.
If you would like the
cremation to take place before or at 10am, most crematoria will
charge less. Crematorium fees are the same whether or not you are
a local
resident and cremations usually involve two doctors' certificates
costing £73.50 each.
