Child and baby funerals
We conduct funerals for local hospitals which are arranged and
paid for by the Hospital Trusts (Royal Free Hospital and University
College Hospital). These funerals involve a little white coffin
with a soft lining and a religious or non-religious service according
to your wishes. For burials you can use the cemetery chapel or
the committal ceremony can happen at the grave.
When a baby dies before full gestation, some parents can’t
cope with attending the funeral. But they can be assured that
everyone involved with Levertons from the funeral director, to
the gravediggers, to the mortuary and the crematorium staff,
will conduct the funeral with the dignity and sincere regret.
Should you prefer to have a private funeral, we will give you
an estimate in respect of your specific wishes. At Levertons,
we will provide you with the lowest possible charge for the funeral
of a child or baby.
Coffins for babies and children come in all shapes, sizes and
designs. If your choice has to be made to order, a couple of
extra days might be needed. We have no set price list because
of the variety of sizes and designs. Just let us know what you
have in mind and we’ll let you know what it would cost.
We will carry out your wishes at the most modest possible charge.
