Flowers
If you wish family and friends to send flowers, they can either be sent to one of our branches or direct to the address from where the funeral cortege is to start. The flowers will travel with the hearse and after the committal will be on display so that the mourners can view them. If requested the message cards attached to the flowers will be gathered and handed to the chief mourner. The names of the senders are also recorded if sent to our premises.

Traditionally the flowers from the closest relatives rest on top of the coffin throughout the funeral service and can remain or be removed at the time of committal depending on the wishes of the family.

Donations
You may wish donations to be made to a particular charity instead of, or in addition to, receiving flowers. We will be happy to receive and forward donations to named charities and will provide relatives with a list of donors.

Newspaper Notices
If you wish to place an obituary notice in a local or national newspaper, we will be pleased to help you compile and place it.

Service Sheets
If desired, we can organise the production of service sheets, either in-house or, for the more complicated, by using a reputable commercial printer.

Eco-Friendly Funerals
All wooden coffins and caskets supplied by Leverton and Sons are made of wood taken from sustainably managed forest. In particular, the mahogany used is a replenishable hardwood known as utile.

In addition to our existing range we are also able to offer an eco-friendly coffin, the Woodland, which is made entirely from solid untreated pine with rope handles, as well as coffins made from woven bamboo or willow.

In recent years a number of Woodland burial sites have been established throughout the country. Here an area is not laid out in a formal manner with graves marked by headstones, but allowed to grow naturally with a tree planted on each grave. Only bio-degradable coffins are permitted. However, at the moment, there are only a limited number of Woodland burial sites in reasonable proximity to London.
